Since 1988, the Finnish Medico-Historical Society has used a logo designed
by former vice-president of the society, Ahti Nokela, pharmacist.
The logo features the patron saints of physicians and pharmacists, the
twin brothers Cosmas and Damian as its main image. In the middle of the
emblem there is a bee, an insect well known in Finland, and above it an
inaugural cross. A border giving the Society's name in Latin, Societas
Historiae Medicinae Fennica, surrounds the centre.
